Youth Director

Reports to: Assistant Pastor

Job Status:  Non-exempt, 40 hours per week

 

Main Function:

The Youth Director plans, organizes, and leads the CPC Junior High and High School student ministry with a Gospel centered holistic family approach.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build a healthy Gospel centered student community with an outward facing vision, implementing regular outreach practices (campus ministry) to engage unchurched youth
  • Prepare and lead youth programs and events (i.e. Impact, Sunday Morning Youth, retreats, mission trips, fundraising efforts, etc.)
  • Initiate regular 1:1 contact work with student and student leadership
  • Recruit, equip, and develop volunteer leadership and youth committee
  • Collaborate and partner with pastoral staff for family ministry events i.e. Community Egg Hunt
  • Build and grow an engaging social media presence
  • Over-communicate with families, volunteers and staff student ministry programing and events
  • Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings i.e. staff bible study
  • Other administrative responsibilities i.e. youth budget, church wide communication, maintaining database
  • Preaching responsibilities for CPC services when available
  • Pursue continued education w/ potential CPC sponsorship

 

Qualifications

  • Seminary and professional experience preferred
  • Effective personal and public communicator
  • Mature and growing follower of Jesus Christ
  • Humble and hungry self starter
  • Implements regular rhythm of personal spiritual disciplines
  • Aligns with EPC and CPC doctrine
  • Must pass standard CPC background check
