ABOUT THE CHURCH
We are a thriving church in Jennings, Louisiana (population of about 10,000 and growing). Our church is committed to equipping our family with the gospel. We brand ourselves as 'the family church,' as our drive is to reach and empower the family. We have
a new 3000 sq foot kids ministry building called KIDSCITY. It has a worship area, indoor playground, and craft/snacks area. Over the next year we want to build a new youth building as well. We see God doing amazing things at Bethel. We have grown from 300
to around 600 over the past 5 years. We beleive we can grow to over 1000 in the next 5 years with the right pastoral team. Over the next 5 years, our desire is to also become a multi-site church, as well as begin a redemption center for the lost and broken
in our community. We are a fairly young church with much of our growth coming from new converts.
ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Jennings has all the "needs": Wal-mart, plenty of restaurants, plenty of extracurriclar activities, and good public and Christian schools. It is 30 minutes away from two small cities (Lafayette/Lake Charles), about an hour and 15 minutes from two mid-size
cities (Baton Rouge/Beaumont, TX) and about 2 and a half hours away from two large cities (New Orleans and Houston). All on Interstate 10, thus easy to drive to. Jennings expected to grow over the next 5 years with new expansions of the plants in Lake Chales.
it is a great community to live in and raise a family in.
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for someone who is passionate about Christ, kids ministry, equipping the family, and reaching the lost. We need a person with vision who can take our childrens ministry to the next level. We currently have about 75 kids on Sunday mornings,
but could easily double that with the right leader. We have an open invitation into our local public schools, which can be an amazing asset that we dont currently capitalize on. We also have two 15-passenger vans we can use to pick kids up. A futher job description
will be provided later in the process, but the job basically consists of: someone meeting with parents and kids, recruiting and empowering volunteers, planning and strategizing to reaching and disciple kids and their families, to be present in our community
and schools, and be a part of our church leadership team.
The potential and opprotutnity is massive, we just need the right fit.
Compensation will be based on experience and education. We dont have many parameters around the position such as age, gender, or education. We are more concerned with a passion, calling, and vision driven person.
