About the Location:

The city of Frisco, Texas lies less than 30 miles north of Dallas and about 20 miles east of Denton. Located on the outskirts of northern Dallas, it is easily accessible to Dallas Love Field Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and Denton Municipal Airport.

Before Frisco had grown into a town, it was a large piece of fertile farmland and owned by a company called the Blackland Town Site Company. This company planned to auction sections of the land to potential settlers. As families moved to this new, growing city, railroads were built, a man-made lake was created (Frisco Lake), businesses and homes moved their location to what is now known as Frisco. Since Preston Trail began, the city has exploded in size from only 16,000 residents to more than 158,000 by last year. The city continues to grow quickly, with more than 12,000 expected to move in this year alone.

Frisco has received several notable titles from expert publications, including #1 Real Estate Marked in U.S., and #1 Most Successful City. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are more than 90 miles of hike and bike trails. Frisco has the benefit of small town living with easy access to major metropolitan centers with all the opportunities that provides. Frisco is well known for their light displays around Christmas time. Homes and buildings are lit up and choreographed to dance along with the cheerful holiday tunes.

Additionally, Frisco is home to the Texas Tornado professional hockey team and the Dr. Pepper Arena. Other local sports are the baseball Frisco RoughRiders, the FC Dallas Major League Soccer, Dallas Stars hockey team, and the NBA Texas Legends.
