About the Position:

Redeemer Church is looking for a spiritually mature and experienced worship pastor to join the existing worship team. This primary function of this role will include weekly leadership from the platform while improving the quality of worship and envisioning a worship residency program for the church. This individual will closely collaborate with the Lead Pastor in formulating the weekend worship experience while maintaining a posture of approachability and authenticity, both on and off the stage. The successful candidate will have proven experience building teams as well as pastoring and developing volunteers as they offer insight, direction, and value to the creative development and direction for services.

What We Are Searching For/Qualifications:

Formal education is not a predetermining factor for the Worship Pastor role. A college degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Versatile, excellent musicianship both vocally and instrumentally.
  • Proven ability developing leaders and volunteers (both technically and spiritually) within a worship ministry.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading worship, preferably in a large setting (church of 1,000+).
  • Comfortable and acclimated to leading worship from the guitar.
  • Ability to provide clear direction to musicians.
  • Possess an understanding of musical arrangements and charting.
  • Proven capability to work within a highly productive environment.


About the Location:

Midland, Texas is a city in the county seat of Midland County and a component of the larger Midland-Odessa area. The city is located in the Permian Basin in the West Plains of Texas. Midland was originally founded as the midway point between Fort Worth and El Paso on the Texas and Pacific Railroad in 1881. The economy of Midland is heavy influenced by the oil and gas industry. Midland College is a prominent educational center for the area and also houses the Texas Tech Health Science Center. The University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa is also a close option for college education. Midland’s international airport is serviced daily by three major airlines and is the closest airport to Big Bend National Park.
