Position: Human Resources Manager

Hours: 40hrs/week – Employees are expected to devote the number of hours necessary to complete their respective tasks. May include weekend and/or possible evening hours.

Class: V – Hourly wage (non-exempt) or salaried (exempt) employee scheduled for 40 hours per week on average.

Supervisor: Executive Pastor of Administration and Strategic Development


Position Purpose:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the oversight and development of all aspects of the human resources department including but not limited to: payroll, hiring, onboarding, separation, benefits administration, employee relations, worker’s compensation claims, record retention, talent management, performance reviews, compensation analysis, and employment law compliance.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the development, implementation, and adherence to all human resource policies and procedures
  • Maintains the work structure by updating all job descriptions and position changes as necessary
  • Processes and ensures accuracy of bi-weekly payrolls, monthly housing, pastoral allowances, and bonuses
  • Oversight of annual employee review process including employee reviews, self evaluations and 360 evaluations
  • Assists with ensuring the accurate submission of all pertinent information to the external Independent Compensation Committee
  • Works with leadership to develop and maintain a pay plan by conducting regular compensation analysis; recommends pay structure revisions when necessary
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
  • Oversees the maintenance and updating of the Radiant Church Employee Handbook
  • Responsible for coordinating annual open enrollment and maintaining on-going changes to benefits plans
  • Assists with business-related and staff-wide policy development and implementation of standard operating procedures
  • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
  • Oversees completion of background checks on staff and volunteers and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Processes all year-end W-2 adjustments and 1099 distributions
  • Knowledge of human resources related laws, regulations, and legislation; implementing changes as necessary or required

  • Previous Human Resource experience and/or education required
  • Minimum of 3 years previous administrative experience required
  • ADP experience preferred but not required
  • Previous experience and strong ability to develop excel spreadsheets, charts, and formulas
