About the Position:


The Pastor of Program Ministries will serve as an executive leader, a creative thinker, and a strategic achiever. The successful candidate will maintain oversight of ministry-specific environments within their realm of responsibility, while being a loyal and trusted ‘learner’ under the leadership of the Senior Pastor.


The Associate Pastor will be a consistent communicator in our contemporary worship services and responsible for the further development of the Normandy ministry strategy by targeting millennial age groups and maximizing outreach efforts, while effectively sharing the Gospel through new and creative methods.


What We Are Searching For:


The candidate will have had experience working as a creative and strategic leader with a history of responsibility providing vision and mobilizing both volunteers and leaders in a church of 300 attendees or greater.


The successful candidate will have had a part in developing, expanding, and evaluating outreach, evangelistic worship, and discipleship programs in a church setting.


They must be fluent in church culture and organizational development, with a strong ability to generate momentum and lead growth initiatives. They will be highly social media and marketing savvy, using such avenues along with other culturally relevant methods to draw generations, particularly of college-age young adults, millennials, and young families as well as those from varying backgrounds of life.




The combination of education and vocational experiences needed to be a licensed local pastor in the United Methodist Church is required for this position. The successful candidate will have a track record of at least 2-5 years of growing a ministry and of working in a ministry setting that is multi-generational.

Dayton is a location of innovation and is the sixth largest city in Ohio. Located on the banks of the Great Miami River, Dayton is abounding with museums, the Five Rivers Metro Parks System, and superior Health and Hospital Resources.


Home to the University of Dayton, Wright State University, and Sinclair Community College, Dayton is also widely known for its outdoor activities, low taxes, and strong workforce with lead employer being the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.


Centerville is a destination suburb in the Miami Valley Region in which Dayton is a hub. Centerville also sits at the northern end of the rapidly growing Cincinnati-Dayton I-75 corridor.
