Bethany Christian Church in Washington, Indiana is seeking experienced children’s ministry applicants who are creative visionaries who desire to work in a children’s ministry team environment. Primary responsibilities include the oversight of the Spiritual
development of elementary children (first through fourth grades). Planning and implementing Sunday morning elementary worship experience. Creating and implementing multiple routes for children to connect to the ministry and strategically evangelize to children
and families. Encourage, equip and set high expectations for ministry volunteers.
Primary authorities include leading a team of existing children’s ministers and volunteers. Determining and leading the vision of the children’s ministry yielding to the purpose and vision of Bethany Christian Church.
Bethany Christian Church (bethanycc.net) is located in Washington, Indiana (12,500 population) and has an average Sunday morning worship attendance of 1,125. Bethany relocated from Montgomery, Indiana to its current location in January 2013 and is in the
process of adding on additional ministry space. Bethany keeps ministry current and conservative in its approach to worship, evangelism, making disciples, and serving Christ, His church and our community.
Bethany is fast growing congregation with more than 2,800 people in the community who call Bethany their “home” church. Because of this, we are quickly becoming the spiritual hospital of our county (33,000 population) and are in great need of more energetic,
passionate, qualified ministers.
The leadership consists of elders, ministers and servant leaders (deacons). In addition, the structure of leadership is arraigned based on biblical roles. The leadership does not operate under a “board” style structure however; each group is defined by
authority and responsibilities.
Bethany is specifically looking for those with experience in the ministry area being applied for with a dedicated work ethic. Applicants must be willing to take risks and strive to stay current with ministry methodology. Bethany’s leadership is highly
gracious toward ministers who refine, enhance or terminate methods of ministries to minister better to our congregation and community. A motto we’ve adopted is: We don’t strive to be the best church in our community but the best church for our community.
Because of this, our ministries are not based on a minister’s preferences but based on community and congregational need and interest.
