The Healing Center, a ministry of Vineyard Cincinnati Church, is passionate about creating a Christ-centered community where people come to receive unconditional love, healing, and the power to change. This job exists to promote a positive guest experience in the Healing Center, from the first contact to last touch, including: oversight of phone systems, front desk reception, and community gathering space operations. This position also provides leadership for the Healing Center Hospitality Team and Reception volunteer teams.


The ideal candidate for this position fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English, has a passion for hospitality, and is an organized individual. This person is interested by and experienced in volunteer leadership and loves to invest in people.

This candidate also must be willing to work Thursday nights and Saturday mornings (until noon).



  • Promote and maintain a caring and friendly environment in which volunteers are equipped to anticipate and address guest needs and communicate professionally, effectively and empathetically.

  • Develop guest care standards and protocols and ensure these are successfully integrated and executed throughout the HC.

  • Deliver training and coaching to volunteers and staff on guest care best practices and internal standards.

  • Oversee coffee bar operations.

  • Oversee front and back desk operations, greeting and directing callers and guests, responding to general inquiries regarding programs and services, and ensuring coverage is provided during business hours.

  • Register guests requesting services and ensure accurate and timely data entry and filing of guest files.

  • Develop procedures and systems that promote efficiency and enable volunteers to provide excellent service to guests.

  • Regularly update HC voicemail system with current information, in both English and Spanish.

  • Maintain reception area in neat and orderly fashion and secure main entrance at end of day.

  • Oversee the placement, training, and development of the HC Hospitality, Guest Support, and Reception volunteer teams.

  • Coordinate volunteer scheduling to maintain proper coverage in responsible areas and appropriately place volunteers according to their skills, gifting, and interests.  Communicate schedules and any procedure changes promptly and effectively.

  • Intercede regarding issues and concerns.  Escalate issues appropriately to supervisor.



  • Required Education: High School Diploma

  • Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of directly related experience, preferably in non-profit or ministry related environment.
