Job Description:

We are a praying church led by the Holy Spirit.

Our members are from many denominations and backgrounds including Baptist and Catholic.

The church thrives with member volunteers who are  driven by community outreach helping anyone in need through a weekly soup kitchen that serves up 50-75 hot meals every Wednesday at lunch. Members crochet prayer blankets for the sick, sew baby blankets for newborns, mail care packages to our troops overseas, and raise money for flood and fire victims.

Our current pastor resurrected the church 12 years ago with just 5 members. We currently have 120 members. He is becoming our Pastor Emeritus at the age of 83 and will stay active in the church helping through our transition period.

Our Minister of Music inspires our members not only through traditional hymns, but also through his own spiritual compositions. He also instructs our Sunday School students with praise music(vocal and instrumental).

We are looking for a minister that can lead our congregation with the direction of the Holy Spirit while helping our ageing membership through innovative programs that can develop an eager youthful outreach.

Weekly leadership opportunities include Sunday morning adult Sunday school and worship, Tuesday morning Bible study, Wednesday noon soup kitchen, and Thursday evening choir practice.

Martindale is centrally located on the beautiful San Marcos River 5 miles south of San Marcos (Texas State University), 10 miles west of Lockhart (Barbecue Capital of Texas), and 35 miles southwest of Austin.

Please lift up our church in prayer and see if God directs your future to help Him with our church community. If you feel that His direction leads you to Martindale, email your cover letter and resume to
