Job Description:

First and foremost, we are looking for a man who loves Jesus and has a humble spirit, recognizing that he himself is hopelessly lost without Christ.

A man who walks with Jesus, and is able to minister out of the authentic overflow of his own life.

A family man. A faithful husband who loves and leads his wife.  A faithful father who has a great relationship with his kids and knows how to put his family first in the midst of church ministry demands.

A visionary leader with a strong sense of calling to be the lead pastor a local church.

A man who has a shepherd’s heart – to lead and care for the “found,” but also a fierce determination to go after the “lost.”

A gifted communicator who has a rock-solid commitment to Biblical preaching and teaching.

Ability to manage and lead multiple staff members to work together closely as a team.

A man who meets the Biblical qualifications of elders as laid out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

And especially in light of all the above, a guy who doesn’t take himself to seriously, but knows how to have fun and live a balanced life.

Lead and work closely with the elder team to provide overall vision and direction for the church, resulting in long-term health and growth.

Lead, develop and manage the staff to insure all ministries of the church are healthy and in alignment with our values and vision.

Primary preacher and teacher for weekend services. Develop message series which provide a yearly “diet” that develops people – equipping believers and evangelizing the lost.

Work closely with the worship pastor in planning excellent, creative services that help people encounter Jesus in profound ways.

Insure that systems and process are in place that help people connect, grow and serve.

Work as point leader with the staff, trustees and elders to develop yearly budgets and monitor spending, insuring absolute financial integrity.

Insure that NCC maintains and deepens it’s commitment to world missions through the support of missionaries and ministries.

Insure that NCC’s physical building and campus is maintained.
