Job Description:

Lakeland is a non-denominational bible church seated in the heart of the resort communities of Walworth County, WI.  We’re ideally located about an hour from Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago, IL. We are poised to make a huge kingdom impact in our community.  With over 1,000 people gathering each weekend to worship and experience God through the body, the excitement for what He is doing is contagious. Lakeland’s vision is to lead people to follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and commit to the mission of Jesus...because lives are at stake.  We don’t like to beat around the bush and play church, but instead motivate and activate His followers to go and be the church.  Lakeland has a contemporary, down to earth, raw, and relevant feel. We connect people through Small Groups and serving opportunities.  Our leading value is Simple.

The next Children's Pastor at Lakeland must be passionate about making disciples, doing life with kids through leading of teams, partnering with parents, and multiplication.  Experience with the Orange strategy and the ability to Lead Small is essential.  They will give oversight to a dynamic ministry team and must be a culture creator with a catalytic personality.
The work environment is fast-paced and driven.  Lakeland allows staff to self-regulate time management to create healthy margin between ministry and family.  The Children's Pastor will need to have strong self-leadership, a proven track record of developing others, be highly relational and hard wired to work with teams. Lakeland is not looking for a creator of programs but a developer of people.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a staff member in a ministry leadership capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in biblical studies or a related field (In certain cases, extensive ministry experience could fulfill this requirement.)
  • Strong leader with a solid work ethic and ability to point-lead an established and growing leadership base
