Job Description: Pana First United Methodist Church in Pana, Illinois is a welcoming congregation (~150 attendance, ~ 500 members). We wish to hire a full-time Youth Director who would create, grow, and lead our ministries for school age youth (grades 1-12). These ministries should include opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and service on and off of church grounds.  The position will be supported by the Youth Committee.
Main Job Responsibility: Build relationships with students and their families to lead them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Provide opportunities for students to serve the world around them by being the hands and feet of Christ. Disciple students so they can witness to others.
Personal Responsibility:  To model the life of a growing follower of Jesus that positively represents Jesus, Pana First, and the broader United Methodist Church.
Professional Responsibility:  To envision, lead, and provide unity and consistency for the entire student ministry (grades 1-12).
Bachelor degree or certificate in a related discipline desired. Candidates without an advanced degree but with relevant experience will also be considered. Candidates must be in agreement with the United Methodist Church beliefs – outlined here: and demonstrate a solid calling to serve as a supporting pastor.
