Church Profile

Grace Church is an established multigenerational and multicultural church in the Des Moines metro area with over 1,000 in Sunday worship service attendance.  Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ across the street and around the world.  We offer two identical services on our campus each Sunday including a livestream option.  Our Wednesday night activities include classes for all ages.  Our 75 acre campus is adjacent to Interstate 235 in Des Moines and located within a residential setting.  

Worship Philosophy

Grace church values worship that reflects Colossians 3:16 - singing “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs” that are Christ-centered and theologically sound. Our music includes a variety of contemporary worship songs and hymn-based resources that inspires the church to sing with gratitude and praise to the Lord. 

With a strong legacy of faithful gospel ministry and Christ-centered worship, Grace Church is committed to build on that foundation as we seek God’s direction for our next Worship Pastor.

 We are seeking a Worship Pastor who is first and foremost a shepherd—someone who loves Christ, loves people, and is called to pastoral ministry. This individual will lead our church in authentic, Christ-exalting worship while investing in the spiritual growth of those who serve. 

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

·         A born-again man with a clear calling to pastoral ministry

·         A pastor first and a musician second with a commitment to the unwavering Word of God

·         Able to demonstrate theological depth

·         Able to recruit, develop, and oversee worship volunteers, musicians, and sound/AV teams with clarity and encouragement

·         A humble, servant-hearted leader—not a performer, who fits well within our staff culture

·         A gifted musician and vocalist with the ability to lead and develop others

·         A man of integrity with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Meet the biblical qualification of an elder listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9

·         An earned bachelor’s or master’s level degree in a complimentary field of study

·         A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Worship Pastor
