POSITION/TITLE:  Strategic Director

REPORTING:  Executive Director

CLASSIFICATION:  Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY

The mission of the Intern Academy is to build a pipeline of leaders through a network of ministry internships.  The Strategic Director of the Intern Academy works closely with the Executive Director and will oversee our strategy to develop leaders and multiply the Intern Academy model. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

●      Maintain a vibrant and growing walk with Jesus that sets an example for those we serve and lead

●      Align all activities with the mission and values of the Intern Academy

●      Inspire the culture of the Intern Academy, including the Ministry Team and Coaches to realize their role in God’s story by using their gifts to further the mission

●      Encourage and equip Coaches for effective training of interns and maximizing of the network.

●      Improve our teams by building healthy and effective strategies

●      Simplify our strategies by taking what is working and turn it into repeatable frameworks others can use.

●      Work alongside the Executive Director to accomplish the mission by strengthening partnerships, relations with investors, and placement of grads in ministry positions.

●      Complete additional ministry duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

●      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

●      Minimum of ten years working and leading a ministry

●      Minimum of five years recruiting, training, and leading volunteers.

●      Track record of growing a ministry in participation and spiritual maturity

●      Managed staff

●      Raised up at least 2 interns serving now in ministry

●      Proven Track record of effective time management

●      Proficient computer skills

●      Strong organizational and problem solving skills

●      Strong and effective communicator and relationship building skills

●      Excellent customer service skills

●      Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously under time constraints

●      Dependable, responsible and self-motivated

●      Ability to make independent decisions and work with minimal supervision

The reality is that we work as a team and there are numerous other tasks that will require the participation of the person holding this position.
