Children's Pastor Responsibilities:

Conduct self in a manner worthy of a visible representative of Christ

Pray regularly for the church and its people and model spiritual vitality and accountability

Follow the necessary procedures to become a Pastor in the Evangelical Covenant Church

Create a warm, loving, safe environment in which children can, learn about God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and begin to develop a meaningful relationship with Him.

Develop a program in which children can learn basic Christian truths, the foundations of the faith, and a healthy fun attitude towards church

Continuously recruit, interview, and train new volunteers into the children's ministry. Instruct them in all ministry policies and procedures.

Conduct new volunteer orientation meetings involving proper screening and fingerprinting

Assist with Budget planning

Responsible for children's ministry special events

Responsible for children's ministry promotions

Responsible for creating and or maintaining the ministry volunteer and children/parent data base

Assessment and purchase of ministry curriculum

Maintain and reorganize ministry supplies and restock when necessary

Meet with ministry leaders, and volunteers on a regular basis, kee nd building great relationships amongst the various people of the ministry. Responsible for training and develop of volunteer staff

Work with the Lead and Executive Pastor to determine the vision for the ministry

Shepherd over the children, volunteers, and parents of the ministry

Implement new children's programs, children's outreaches, promotional ideas, teaching methods, and training methods for volunteers

Coordinate Child Care for Church special events

Implement programs for special needs children

Attend Staff meetings

Report to Executive Pastor

Help make the Senior Pastor and the church effective in carrying out its call
