  • Provide biblical counseling, prayer, and spiritual support when appropriate.

  • Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other significant ministry occasions.

  • Help foster a congregation characterized by unity, compassion, accountability, and genuine Christian community.

  • Encourage members to develop their spiritual gifts and actively participate in ministry.

Spiritual Leadership and Discipleship

  • Partner with the elders in providing spiritual direction and oversight for the congregation.

  • Model Christian character, integrity, humility, and servant leadership.

  • Encourage and support the spiritual development of ministry leaders and volunteers.

  • Promote a culture of prayer, discipleship, evangelism, and biblical fellowship.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with church elders, ministry staff, and volunteers.

  • Agreement with First Christian Church’s statement of faith and biblical convictions.

  • A life and character consistent with the biblical qualifications for elders found in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.

Preferred
