Washington Heights Church

Welcome to Washington Heights, a nondenominational church community in Ogden, UT, where we have been loving God and loving people since 1955. Our entire focus and purpose as a church community is to share the love that Jesus has given us with the people around us.

In a state where about 97% of the population does not know the Jesus of the Bible, we're driven by a passionate outward focus. Every month, there's something special happening to engage with people, providing opportunities for meaningful connections and spiritual growth.

We believe that everyone, without exception, is deserving of experiencing the boundless love of God. In our pursuit to share this transformative message, we're committed to going above and beyond, stopping short of nothing but sin itself. We recognize that it’s hard to step into a new place for the first time. Our goal is to make that experience warm and welcoming, and before long we hope it will feel like family! In fact, 2025 has been a year of significant growth and we’re excited to expand our capacity to reach people with a brand new 2000 seat auditorium.

We offer a casual atmosphere where friendships can form and relationships can deepen. You can expect to have a great time being part of the Washington Heights Church community. Our goal is to create in-person and online environments that people who may not like church love to attend. Whether people are new to faith, just coming back to church or a long-time follower of Jesus we hope people find our community engaging and that they will want to come back.

Mission:

Helping people meet and follow Jesus.

In accordance with The Great Commission recorded in Matthew 28:18-20, WHC shall be committed to an outward focus toward those who are not yet followers of Christ and facilitate spiritual growth for those who have placed faith in the Jesus of the Bible. While congregational care of regular participants shall not be neglected, outreach to others who are outside of, or new to, WHC, shall be given priority in the budgeting, staffing, and scheduled activities. Thus, the focus of WHC is to make new disciples and welcome them into a healthy, growing, and multiplying congregation through all redemptive means, short of sin.

Values:

Love God | By gathering together on Sundays and spending personal time with God throughout the week, we develop our relationship with Him.

Love People | By joining in small groups we develop close relationships that allow us to serve others and our communities.

Serve The World | By meeting needs in our communities and across the globe in practical ways, we can express our faith beyond ourselves, showing the same compassion Jesus shared with us.

Invite a Friend | We long for others to experience what God has done for us. We do that by inviting friends to join us in a church service, a small group, or in an effort to serve others.
