Calvary Church is a growing, multi-ethnic, non-denominational evangelical church of more than 3,000 attendees located in Charlotte, NC. Active in ministry for over 80 years, Calvary is committed to being and making authentic followers of Jesus Christ and known for its focus on the Bible as the living, inerrant Word of God. Calvary’s theme verse is “For the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 1:9).
This commitment is reflected in the diversity of ministries focused on proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through biblical worship, preaching, teaching and discipleship for all ages in addition to local outreach and global missions.
Calvary’s campus is located on over 100 acres in south Charlotte and includes a large Sanctuary (renovated in 2019), a Life Center (est. 2012), a Chapel, extensive classroom and event space, a bookstore, multiple sports fields, and a cemetery.
As of December 2025, Calvary is in the final stages of our “Reach/Welcome/Grow” capital campaign which focused on continuing planned building renovations in support of our various ministries. Construction of our new entrance, café, Welcome Center, classroom space and elevators was completed in December 2024 without incurring any debt.
