Life Stream Church is a growing, multi-generational Wesleyan church located in Allendale, MI, just west of Grand Rapids and minutes from the main campus of Grand Valley State University. For more than 175 years, God has faithfully used Life Stream to reach people with the hope of Jesus Christ. What began with nine people in 1851 has grown into a thriving church that welcomes more than 1,400 people each week through in-person and online worship.
Our Vision:
That all may encounter and be transformed by the power and presence of God.
Our Mission:
To share the love and hope of Jesus with the local and global community, so they too can be reached and set free.
Our Core Values:
A Healthy and Growing Church
God continues to move in remarkable ways through the ministries at Life Stream. We are committed to reaching every generation through vibrant children, student, young adult, adult, and care ministries. More than 400 adults are connected in Life Groups, over 80 volunteers serve in children’s ministry, and our young adult ministry continues to expand through campus-based small groups and intentional outreach to college students.
Our Community
Life Stream is located in Allendale, Michigan, one of West Michigan’s fastest-growing communities. Home to more than 27,000 residents and the main campus of Grand Valley State University, Allendale offers a unique opportunity to reach families, professionals, and thousands of college students in one community.
GVSU enrolls more than 22,000 students, creating an incredible mission field just minutes from our church campus. This strategic location provides opportunities for local outreach, leadership development, and the next generation of disciples.
Our Staff Culture
Life Stream is served by a collaborative staff committed to working together around a shared mission rather than individual ministries. We value healthy leadership, intentional discipleship, excellence in ministry, and a willingness to innovate in order to reach people with the Gospel.
We believe alignment creates greater Kingdom impact. Our staff works together to ensure every ministry reflects our vision, mission, and core values while creating environments where people can encounter Jesus and grow as His disciples.
Why Life Stream?
Life Stream is a church with a rich history and an even brighter future. We are committed to Biblical preaching, Spirit-led worship, intentional discipleship, authentic community, and reaching people who are far from God. We are looking for leaders who are passionate about developing others, embracing innovation, and helping fulfill God’s calling to reach our community with the life transforming Love of Jesus!
