Oakland Baptist Church (OBC) in King George, VA, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1885 with 32 members. The church grew and in 1967 purchased 16 acres and built our current main church. We are located directly off Route 301and visible to 100,000 travelers each day. This makes us well positioned to engage the community. We are located near shops, restaurants, parks, and Dahlgren Naval Base. We are eager to use this campus to continuously improve our relationship with the community and make disciples. We have a long dedication to the truth of God’s Word and its power to direct us. OBC is an autonomous congregationally governed church which aligns with the Southern Baptist Convention; we support both the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia (SBCV) and the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) cooperative programs advancing God’s kingdom around the world.
