Casey First Baptist Church
Is God calling you to lead our church? Are you a Biblically based leader who can lead a church to the next level, mentor others to get involved, and put in place strategies and tactics to lead and grow a church so more souls can be brought to Jesus Christ? If so, we want to hear from you. We are looking for a man that is a prayer warrior; filled with the love of Jesus Christ, obedient to the word and seeking to follow God’s will in his life. A man who is gifted in preaching, teaching, and leadership skills. We have a need for a dynamic, visionary pastor who is an inspired preacher and teacher of God’s Word. Our community of 3000 people is located in the heart of the mid-west between St Louis, MO and Indianapolis, IN on Interstate 70. We are a friendly town with a lot of community involvement. This is a wonderful place to raise a family, make friends, work and retire. The opportunity for church growth in Casey is fantastic. Our church is located just 1 block from the down town area. Casey First Baptist Church, Casey, IL was organized on May 24, 1893 and received into the Westfield Southern Baptist association in 1895. Our church has been a light in our community for over 100 years. We have an average attendance of between 150 and 200 with plenty of room for growth thanks to a recent building addition. Our new sanctuary will seat close to 600. The average age of our church is middle age. We also want to reach out to the younger families in our community. We are currently building a youth program with the use of lead teams made up of concerned people of the church. We know that this will be the future of CFBC. Our desire is for God’s will to be done at Casey First Baptist. That means seeking out the man God has planned to lead our church to sincere discipleship, genuine commitment and measurable growth. Some of the ministries taking place at our church. 1. AWANA program. We average 100 clubbers per week from 3 years old up through12th grade with 35-40 leaders working with the program. 2. A vibrant community Senior Adult Ministry program that takes place at our church every week with an average attendance near 60. This program is lead by our pastor Emeritus. 3. Son Shine Center is our preschool / daycare / before and after school program serving nearly 100 kids daily. 4. Working with the ministerial association’s food pantry for the needy of our community. 5. A leader in the Westfield Southern Baptist Association. 6. Youth ministries lead by Lead Teams. The Lead Teams are made up of adults working with youth focused on ministering to the youth of our community. 7. A very active Sunday School program. 8. We currently have traditional type worship services with some praise music but we feel a more blended type music portion of worship would be more appealing to those we are trying to reach. 9. We, as a church, have a heart for missions. We have a large mission field in our own back yard. Our new pastor will need to have a vision for Casey First Baptist to help us win the lost in our community for Jesus Christ and a desire to feed and nourish those that are already following Jesus. We need to find a man that has a daily growing relationship with our Lord and Savior. The duties of a Senior Pastor include, but are not limited to the following: *Put God first in all that he does, then God calls us to serve our family second and then serve His church, as He has called you to do. *Meet the traits of a pastor as listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. *Personal commitment to discipleship and spiritual growth *Strong Leadership and Origination skills; committed to equipping the saints with solid verbal and written communication skills in all areas of pastoral leadership. *Deep desire to evangelize locally, nationally and internationally as directed in Matthew 28:19-20. *Minimum of 10 years pastoral experience, a college degree and seminary training preferred with a Southern Baptist background. *Spend significant time in prayer and bible study, Seeking God first.
