Job Description:

The Missions Pastor should meet the following personal and spiritual qualifications:

-Be able to express a personal salvation experience of faith in Jesus Christ
-Must have integrity, high moral values, and be able to express a “genuine call” to serve God and His church in the particular capacity
-Must be a licensed or ordained minister
-Meet qualifications as stated in 1Timothy 3:1-7
-College education and preferably a degree from seminary or the equivalent experience
-At least 3 years of full-time ministry related experience
-A high level of motivation and personal accountability
-A team player with a high energy level and readiness to take on this significant challenge
-Must have the ability to plan, budget, delegate, and meet deadlines
-Must be in full agreement with the doctrine and teachings of the church


The purpose of the Missions Pastor is to develop a strategy for Harmony Hill in reaching Angelina County, America and the World for Jesus Christ. This is a pastoral role that calls for a mission mindset in growing the Kingdom of God and growing the ministries of Harmony Hill through reaching the un-churched.

The Missions Pastor will be a spiritually mature Christ-follower who is passionate about seeing people come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be discipled in their walk with the Lord.

The Missions Pastor will lead and assist our children, students and adults in missions locally, nationally, and globally.

A proven track record of effective leadership in Missions is essential.

Upon recommendation of the Senior Pastor, Elders, and the Pastoral Ministry Team, the church shall approve the Missions Pastor.
