To facilitate the musical and spiritual leadership in the Contemporary Worship service. Through the use of music, arts and technology guide the congregation in a deeper understanding of the love of Christ and develop a strong foundation in life-changing faith.
Direct and oversee the musical elements of the Contemporary Worship service. These include:
1.Weekly leadership and coordination of praise band.
2.Participating in planning and implementing the Sunday service flow so as to integrate theology, music, sound, lighting, media, sermon and prayer to form an organized and fluid unit.
3.Recruit, coordinate and provide ongoing training of volunteer teams involved with worship; including sound techs, musicians, set-up and tear down of sound equipment and staging.
1.Work alongside the Contemporary Worship Commission and church staff to suggest and implement improvements to the service and all surrounding areas of responsibility.
2.Stay abreast of current trends and information related to Contemporary Worship.
3.Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the long range (1-2 year) vision of the Contemporary Worship Service.
4.Be actively involved in the life of the church.
5.When appropriate, occasionally participate in our Traditional Worship Services
6.Schedule and coordinate maintenance of the instruments used for the contemporary worship service, sound equipment, and lighting equipment.
7.Contribute to ongoing discussions regarding new purchases of equipment and other facility improvements in the Telle Center.
8.Complete additional tasks as assigned.
1.Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent. College credit preferred.
2.Has a passion for the ministry of music as shown by previous ministry commitments.
3.Ability to contribute to and implement a long-term vision (1-2 year) for the music ministry of Trinity United Presbyterian Church.
4.A clear understanding of spiritual gifts with a unique calling to music ministry.
5.An ability to teach and shepherd musicians both technically and spiritually.
6.Administrative and organizational skills.
7.Ability to utilize modern technologies.
