Executive Assistant and Office Manager

Job Description:
Christ Church is looking for an energetic, passionate and qualified Executive Assistant and Office Manager to help direct the day-to-day office responsibilities of a growing, urban church including managing the church data base, updating the web site, assisting the pastoral staff and communicating with the congregation.

Candidates must possess and demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks; the ability to organize and administrate information, the ability to follow through with details and meet deadlines; and an aptitude for technology and computer hardware and software.

Christ Church is an Anglican community of about 340 regular attendees located in the heart of Austin, Texas about four blocks from the University of Texas. We value worship, community, changed lives, mission, generosity and hospitality. God has placed Christ Church in the city of Austin to be for the city of Austin.

Christ Church is a liturgical church of the Anglican tradition; we are presently under the jurisdiction of the Anglican Church of Rwanda and are moving toward full participation with the the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).

Our worship is guided by historical, biblically-based liturgy. The service is divided into two main sections: the Ministry of the Word, where we read from the Bible, listen to a sermon, and pray as a congregation, and the Ministry of the Table, where we receive Communion--bread and wine blessed in prayer--as our weekly celebration of Jesus' death and resurrection.
