Job Description:
Five-year old, rapidly growing church seeking versatile individual to oversee music ministry.

Austin Baptist Church in Austin, Texas, has grown to an average worship attendance of approximately 900 in five years and is seeking its first full-time Minister of Music. Candidates must be versatile enough to oversee both traditional and contemporary worship and work with a part time support staff in the beginning. The traditional worship service is the larger of the two, but both services are growing at a comparable pace. The church is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention and is located on a brand-new 35 acre campus in the midst of one of the fastest growing population areas in the United States.

Church Budget: $2.2 million
Total church income in 2011: $5.3 million dollars
Education required: Bachelor’s Degree minimum; Master’s Degree is a plus
Salary range: Negotiable
Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, retirement contributions

- At least 3 years experience leading worship, and leading choirs, orchestra, ensembles, etc.
- Excellent platform skill
- Strong vocalist
- Training and skill in reading and arranging music
- Team player

Austin Baptist Church

Southern Baptist congregation just overyears old, but almost 1000 members. We are averaging 800 in worship. Spiritually mature, financially stable. We offer two worship services, traditional and contemporary.  Church has  35 acres at prime west Austin location. We entered the new facility in September 2012.
