Job Description:
Job Description: The Early Childhood Coordinator is responsible for pastoral care, developing volunteers, and executing ministry during programming.
Status: 25-30 Hours Team: Family Ministry
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Education: BA/BS, education or ministry preferred
• Experience in leadings and teaching preschoolers in large group and small group settings
• Experience in building, leading, equipping and motivating teams of people
• Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and interpersonal
• Highly administrative, organized and detail oriented
• Passion for volunteers, team work, and equipping others for ministry
Overview of Job Duties (this is a working list and may be adjusted at any time by your manager)
• Recruit, lead, train, and develop volunteers within the ministry area
• Prepare curriculum and crafts for programming
• Responsible for the room environments of Early Childhood rooms
• Develop and communicate family resources
• Effectively implement programming elements designed by the Family Ministries Team
• Scheduling and placement of volunteers
• Provide pastoral care and direction for kids and parents.
• Recruit, lead, train, and develop staff for special events
