Director of Youth Families Ministry

Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Westfield, IN is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Families Ministry. The director shall have responsibility for planning and coordinating ministry “to and through” youth and young adults, ranging in age from junior high youth through post college young adults. The ministry is highly focused on developing Christ-centered discipleship and mentoring models, having youth and their families participate together in ministry and events, and helping youth to learn, develop, and deploy their spiritual gifts in ministry. The director will coordinate monthly activities and service for the youth and young adults, will implement retreats and service trips, and will coordinate weekly opportunities for Bible studies and/or small groups. The director will work with the Senior pastor and staff in organizing volunteers around annual ministry plans. Establishing relationships with the youth and young adults and their families is a high priority.

Minimum Candidate Requirements:
• Serve our Lord Jesus Christ with a passion that burns in your heart each and every day.
• Hold a theological perspective consistent with the Lutheran understanding of word and sacrament and grace based theology.
• Have developed, organized, and administered a team of volunteers in the deployment of youth activities.
• Full-time position which involves regular office hours as well as a commitment to weekend ministry hours for both
event and Sunday morning ministry opportunities thereby creating a flex-hours environment in order to meet the needs
of the congregation.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3-5 years equivalent experience.
