The Church at Sheppard is a satellite campus of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, TX. The Campus Worship Leader is primarily responsible for leading live worship with a live band prior to the video feed of the message from our senior pastor. As such, the Church at Sheppard worship leader is responsible, alongside the campus pastor, for planning, leading, developing, and growing the worship services at the Church at Sheppard. As a full-time staff member, he will be a part of the Church at Sheppard staff team and the Ministerial Staff of the church as a whole. This will require involvement and participation in staff meetings, planning meetings, and major church events. Primary supervisor will be the Campus Pastor, but will work closely with Pastor, Executive Pastor, and downtown campus music staff.
Must be a believer of Jesus Christ and demonstrate a Christ-like attitude, performing all work in order to exalt our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Must be at ease with public interaction and serve as a representative of First Baptist Church, excelling in commitment, conduct and professionalism.
Must have the interpersonal skills necessary to effectively deal with diverse group of members, employees, and the public at large.
Must be attentive to details
Must be able to deal effectively with confidential information of a written and spoken nature, and retain a 100% loyal support for the Pastor and other staff members and their respective ministries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as Worship Leader for the Church at Sheppard worship service(s).
Develop and train vocalists, band members, and other groups as needed to make all our contemporary worship experiences excellent.
Develop a plan for growing and publicizing those services.
Serve as a crucial team member in developing worship services, and the production elements essential to a dynamic worship setting.
Serve on the Music Team for special events throughout the year.
Assist in church events as needed.
