Director of Worship and Media Technology

Job Description:
This full-time position plans, administers, coordinates and evaluates a comprehensive media and technical ministry for Matthews United Methodist Church. This includes recruiting, training and leading volunteers in their technical gifting in all facets of the Media Ministry.
Qualifications for this position include a high level understanding of media, including video editing systems, lighting, sound systems and staging. Competency and experience in: live sound mixing and lighting; non-linear video editing, camera operations; computer-based broadcast mixing systems; projection software and IMAG; worship planning software and Media Shout; streaming video, podcasting; social media and Web and technical equipment problem-solving. Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree combined with equivalent work-related experience. A combination of technical specific education and at least five years work-related experience will be considered as well. At least one year’s experience in a church setting is preferred.
