Everglades Community Church (A United Methodist Congregation) is seeking a full-time Children’s Minister to join the leadership team of ECC. Everglades Community Church currently ministers to a large population of families with children. We are looking for someone who articulates a call to children’s ministry and one who can work in an exciting environment of growth and change.
This key member of our church ministry leadership team will be responsible for directing our children’s ministry by leading Sunday Morning activities for children from infants – 6th grade. Additional responsibilities include special events such as VBS, Easter Egg Hunt, Trunk or Treat, and more. Our choice candidate must be willing to build relationships with children, volunteers and parents; will be active in the church; have an undergraduate degree; and be able to utilize a variety of communication skills. Organizational skills are a plus including the ability to plan events for a long range calendar and managing an annual budget.
Everglades Community Church is located in the suburbs of Western Broward County, Pembroke Pines, Florida, in an area that is very diverse and affluent. Currently, the church meets at Silver Trail Middle School for Sunday Worship. In addition, the church has a Life Enrichment Center in the Chapel Trail Office Complex which houses our offices, Student Ministry, and other small groups. The choice candidate will need to have the skills to work in a set-up church and must hold evangelism as one of their core beliefs.
The choice candidate will be ready for a background check and must accept and embrace the mission of the United Methodist Church to “make disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.”
