Denominations: Non-Denominational
Church Size: 50 to 100
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:
New Beginnings of Hoopeston, IL is a non-denominational community minded growing church of 80. Our average attendance the last 3 months was 54. We are a 3 year old church plant and have now come to the cross road where we need to add this position to our church family.
We have a vision of seeing our community grow as a result of a spirit led congregation ministering to the population in Spirit and deed.
We are reaching out to the populace of the community that may not feel comfortable in a more formal denominational setting. Early in Hoopeston’s history, it was called the Holy City. It is our desire to see our town return to its’ roots.
Although we are a strong mission’s church, we believe as our Lord said in Acts 1:8 that we must witness both in our Jerusalem (Hoopeston, IL) and to Judea (the surrounding area) and to the uttermost parts of the earth (world missions).
The person selected for this position must be spirit-filled (tongues), spirit led and able to release others in the song of the Lord. This person should have a prophetic edge and a heart for the younger generation.
We believe worship should be celebratory while moving into a time of intimacy with the Lord as the Spirit directs. As a result, we now use music ranging from Terry MacAlmon, to Jesus culture, to Hill Song, to Kari Jobe, as well as some hymns, and older choruses.
Candidates for this position need to be able to lead worship with an instrument; preferably keyboard. The ability to play guitar in situations involving the youth would also be a great plus.
As we are a young church, the person employed will be the first staff person hired on a full time basis. The position is a pastoral position and requires shepherding people under the direction of the head pastor. It is imperative that you be a self starter and catch the vision for our youth and the community as well.

Applications in the form of a resume will be received now until the position is filled. If you are interested in submitting your application, please either mail or email your resume, along with an audio and/or video example of your ministry.

Please include the following: Experience; education; instrumental capabilities; church background; your pastor’s name and phone number; job references; positions held; etc.
Our community has a small but significant Hispanic population and someone who is bilingual or has a spouse who is bilingual would be a plus, but not a necessity.
Salary $28,000 to $30,000 with incentives.
