Job Description:
Children’s Ministries Group 56 Pastor/Director
(An at-will employment position)
Scope of Position:
Lead ministry for 5th and 6th graders at Crossings Community Church.
Organizational Relationship:
Reports to the Pastor of Children’s Ministry
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead experiences necessary for weekends, Wednesdays and special events.
- Recruit, coordinate and lead volunteers for the Group 56 ministry.
- Refine and implement ministry methods that provide relevancy to the changing needs of our families and culture that present the Gospel message effectively.
- Direct all aspects of the total Group 56 ministry including administrative needs, coordinating matters with the department’s administrative assistant responsible to provide assistance.
- Participate with other departmental staff in special programs (e.g. VBS, Fall Festival, Kid Faith, etc.) as assigned.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Pastor of Children’s Ministries to fulfill the position.
Skills Required for Position:
The Group 56 Pastor/Director shall demonstrate a passion to serve and lead within the scope of Crossings’ culture and ministry model. The Pastor/Director shall exhibit organization skills as well as the spiritual gifts of leadership, hospitality, administration, and encouragement. The Director shall exhibit strong communication skills and strong social and networking skills.
Education and Experience:
It is preferable, though not required, that the Group 56 Pastor/Director will possess a college degree in ministry or education and have previous experience in ministry.
