Director of Children's Ministry

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a new team member to lead our ministries to kids birth through 5th grade. Parkway is a fun, growing congregation whose mission is to build lives that honor God. This year, we are expanding to 3 locations plus an Internet Campus. If you are leader with a passion for kids and families and you want to be a part of changing lives, this position might be for you!


Core Ministry Responsibilities:
• Parkway Victoria Sunday Morning Preschool and Elementary Ministry to 350 kids and a team of 100 adults.
• Parkway Victoria Wednesday Night Preschool (Childcare) and Elementary Ministry to 160 kids and a team of 40.
• Parkway Victoria Managing Kidz Day (Tuesday/Thursday Mother's Day Out) with a Director and 13-15 paid teachers.
• Resourcing Parkway Campuses with curriculum and ministry content

The person we are looking for will:
• Feel comfortable in a fun, fast paced environment
• Be able to teach the Bible both with words and with the use of creative media
• Build, equip, and encourage teams that do the work of the ministry
• Have a whatever it takes attitude to serve their ministry and the entire church as needed

Requirements:
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, seminary a plus
• Three or more years of relevant, full-­-time work experience
• Growing, yet mature follower of Christ called to children’s ministry
• A passion for building the lives of children and families
• Ability to attract, align, and lead teams to reach ministry goals
• Strategic thinker who can mobilize and direct large groups of people to reach a common goal
