The church, which runs about 1500 in weekly attendance, has a growing base of young families, as well as one of the most recognized children’s ministries in the community, region, and nation. A great working environment is in place, as the staff is "team" oriented and works together through creativity to reach the un-churched of South Florida. Staff members are given the freedom of creativity within their ministries, and are supported by senior staff members in their ministries.

Fort Lauderdale is sometimes known as the "Venice of America" because of its expansive and intricate canal system. The city is a major yachting center, with more than 42,000 resident yachts and over 100 marinas and boatyards, as well as the beautiful beach, and the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District. JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES:

• Minister to 20-35 Years old married couples and their families
• Pour into young families and help them to grow spiritually so that they will develop and grow
• Shepherd the young families by loving them and teaching them from your experience as a husband and father
• Guide, develop, and strengthen the young family core within the church
• Will help meet weekly on Saturday nights at our western satellite for young families to develop relationships with current and new young families
• Will teach on a weekly basis (Sunday Mornings) the young marrieds class
• Will share in the bulk of young married counseling and shepherding
• Organize and oversee family experiences at least once a month
• Help develop and lead classes for Young Marrieds
• Connect with new visitors and current members
• Strategic planning with inter-departmental staff
• Attend and participate in regular staff and departmental meetings

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Love the Lord and lead a life that exemplifies a Christ follower
• Love his family, has a great marriage, and has raised a family (able to give advice and wisdom to families that are just beginning with kids)
• Strong biblical understanding
• Be a team player; buy into and support the collective vision
• Good Communicator (able to draw and keep young families connected with each other and the ministry
• Is energized when around young families
• Has experience in building a ministry
• Experience shepherding, loving, mentoring, discipling, relationship building, guiding, and counseling young families--in any area of family ministry
• A 4-year university/college degree
