The purpose of New Hope Community Church is to increase the kingdom of God in Isanti County and beyond by developing passionate followers of Jesus Christ. The Creative Arts Producer plays a critical role in doing this by overseeing the creative planning process, productions, and implementation of church services.
1. Creative Planning
Coordinate and lead creative planning meetings for services
Research and prepare creative elements for drama scripts, videos, lighting, props and stage design
Collaborate with Worship Director, Speaking Pastor, and Technical Arts Director to formulate weekly service order
2. Manage and Coordinate Details of Services
Disseminate detailed production notes to all teams and individuals involved in each service
Manage execution of all service elements including coordination of teams (drama, sound, lighting, video, ushers, pit crew, stage decorating, etc.), including on and off stage elements
Establish rotation for those doing announcements
Schedule and manage all on-stage pre-service rehearsals
Give cues as necessary to tech team, speaker, worship leader, drama, etc. during services
Evaluate first service details, communicate and coordinate second service revisions needed with all teams
3. Leadership and Supervision
Recruit (in collaboration with team), develop and oversee individuals involved in Sunday production and service teams, including Assistant Producer, Technical Arts Director, Creative Arts Teams, and Communion Servers
4. Other duties as assigned, including filling in and leading worship if desired.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One to three years serving on a worship team or in a creative arts background.
The candidate must have a strong and deepening relationship with Jesus Christ and possess the following character qualities: high degree of integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, diligence; and, must be a member in good standing of New Hope Community Church. If not a member upon hire, the membership process must be completed within three months of the hire date.
Fine arts; management; communications and media, computers and electronics.
Instructing; judgment and decision making; coordination; critical thinking; complex problem solving; monitoring; speaking.
Think creatively; auditory attention; establish and maintain interpersonal relationships; develop and build teams; resolve conflicts; make decisions and solve problems; communicate with supervisors, peers and subordinates; organize, plan and prioritize work; coach and develop others.
Associate or Bachelors degree in Worship or Creative Arts. Three to five years experience in a creative arts role. Extensive technical skills (sound, light, powerpoint, video). Experience serving on a worship team (music, technical, or arts). Someone with a high involvement in media, music and culture. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, email). Proven ability to be a trainer, equipper, and team builder. Someone with a high degree of flexibility, approachability, dependability, and transparency.
