Worship Minister

The goal of this ministry is to develop and lead a creative program of music and arts with primary emphasis on the morning worship hours.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Provide direction and vision for the worship of the church.

a. Primary responsibility for developing and/or leading the Sunday morning worship hours. This includes preparing worship teams, praise band, special multi-media, etc. for a blended worship experience.

b. Primary responsibility for Media components and their creative, effective use in worship…including sound, lighting, power point, video, maintain website (sermon upload and respective worship areas and relevant announcements), etc.

c. Primary responsibility for providing leadership and coordinating the efforts for adult choir on special occasions, required accompaniment, orchestra (if applicable), and Special Presentations (Christmas, Easter, etc.)

d. Provide leadership (oversight and support) for the children’s and youth worship experiences (Sunday morning, VBS) and the Drama ministry.

e. Develop additional possibilities for special music – groups, instrumental, solos, etc.

f. Serve as creative resource person for music and media ministries (bridge between congregation and eldership).

g. Provide resources as needed to the aforementioned groups (praise band, choir, worship teams, sound, drama, orchestra, youth, children’s, etc.)
