Elementary Director

Job Description:
Title: Elementary Director

Reports to: Children’s Minister

Hours: 15 hours per week

The Elementary Director is a position that will provide oversight to the Elementary Ministry at LifePoint Church. It requires organization, leadership, energy, relational and creative skills to manage the program and volunteers in this ministry. The Elementary Director’s main priority will be to implement and carry out the vision, mission, and values of LifePoint Kids in our Elementary ministry.

Specific Ministry Responsibilities:

I. - Curriculum
a) Continually evaluate curriculum for improvements/ staying up to date with current trends in ministry and adapting appropriately.
b) Adapting curriculum seasonally as needed
c) Purchase supplies as needed and within budget
d) Manage the curriculum room and supplies

II. - Volunteers
a) Manage volunteer matrix- placement of new volunteer and scheduling subs as needed when regular volunteers are gone.
b) Primary communicator with all Elementary (k-5) Volunteers
c) Recruiting- calling interested volunteers within 24 hours and making cold calls to potential volunteers
d) Manage Team Leaders
e) Equipping/Training- train volunteers on curriculum and all orientation manual content.
f) Discipleship/Care

III. – Events
a) Assist Children’s Minister and participate in major ministry events such as summer camp and VBS.
b) Schedule and organize social events for older elementary kids.

III. - Other
a) Work along Children’s Minister for special events
b) Communicate regularly with Children’s Ministry team regarding wins and losses, volunteer issues, facility issues
c) Participate in meetings directly related to position
d) Carry out any special tasks as deemed necessary by the Children’s Minister
