Position Summary: Supports teaching development and research as well as assisting in the development and execution of the weekend experience at all campuses under the leadership of the Programming Director.
-Assist with research for weekend messages (exegetical material, theological material, illustrations, etc.)
-Assists with long term teaching team research and sermon series planning and scheduling
-Collaborates with Programming and Creative Teams to integrate teaching material with other service elements
-Works with sermon companion team to develop Life Group curriculum based on weekend messages
-Oversees the blog posting schedule with other staff members, writes weekly message recap post, edits blog content, monitors and approves blog comments, etc.
-Serve on Sundays in Programming, Production, and First Impressions
-Fill in for various teaching opportunities in other ministries with approval from supervisor
-Miscellaneous research assistance for other speaking arrangements, Ironman, etc.
-Reading Highlight Paper every 6 weeks
-POC rotation (Pastor on Call)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
-Designed for students graduating from college or Junior/Senior age (ideally with some background in Biblical Studies and/or experience with Biblical research including languages, historical/cultural background, commentaries, and web research)
-Excellent written and communication skills
-Needs to be an avid reader
-Careful attention to detail
-Ability to work independently within the scope of an assignment
-Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
Physical Requirements: This position is in an office setting. Sedentary work, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of objects weighing up to twenty pounds. Talking, hearing, seeing, typing is required with occasional stooping, crouching and reaching being necessary. Position requires approximately 10% standing or walking and 90% sitting.
