We are a young church, located just outside of Portland, Oregon, committed to reaching our community with the love of Jesus and are committed to our four key values: truth, authenticity, community, and hope. Job Overview:

The worship leader is responsible to oversee the Sunday worship at Rock Harbor Church in Sherwood, Oregon. This is an opportunity to use your creativity and music abilities to equip others and lead the church community in meaningful worship experiences. The worship leader will be directly responsible to the Lead Pastor.

Spiritual Expectations:

To be in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ

To be practicing the regular spiritual disciplines of time alone with God in His Word, prayer, and financial stewardship

To be using their God-given giftedness to edify and serve the people of Rock Harbor Church

Character Expectations:

To live a life of integrity, honesty, and finding favor in the eyes of the churched and unchurched

To be committed to growing as a leader, teachable, and always learning

To work as part of a team in shepherding the people of Rock Harbor

Job Expectations:

To meet weekly with the Lead Pastor to plan and carry out the vision for Sunday morning worship at Rock Harbor (order of service, elements of service, flow & timings, coordinating who is on the platform) – some to be done in meeting and some on own during the week

To create an environment of worship – creative experiences, décor, special events during the year (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, special events, etc…)

To recruit and train volunteers to serve with you – focus on worship ministry including technical support

To be a part of Rock Harbor’s community – initiating relationships and deepening friendships

Hours & Compensation:

10-15 hours per week with almost half of the hours on Sunday - this is part-time.
Compensation based upon education, experience, and skill level
