Associate Pastor: Worship Arts, Prayer & Connections



New Community’s Mission:

Focus

Every staff pastor’s primary focus is to pursue New Community’s mission statement within his field of ministry influence.

The Associate Pastor has three primary areas of ministry.
• Worship Arts Ministry

o Lead and/or coordinate all worship services
o Recruit potential participants in worship ministry
o Train worship team participants through regular practices in groups or as individuals
o Design worship services with other ministry staff and volunteers
o Coordinate all aspects of the worship arts within worship services (i.e. video, audio, participants, etc…)
o Contribute to the overall worship arts of New Community

• Prayer Ministry

o Coordinate the prayer ministry
o Facilitate requests presented to the church
o Grow the prayer life of the church

• Connections Ministry

o The purpose of the connections ministry is to connect individuals and families with the people of New Community
o Create, in conjunction with the church staff, a connections ministry
o Make immediate multiple points of contact with those who visit worship services
o Coordinate information that may be helpful to achieve the goal of involvement
o Continue to work with individuals, both recent and regular attendees, with the goal of achieving productive spiritual involvement in New Community
o Website: Oversee entire website & utilize as an involvement tool

The Associate Pastor focuses secondarily on the following ministries. This secondary focus occurs only as time reasonably allows.
