The church is looking for someone who would bring a heart for young people in the church to mentor, encourage, and teach them. They want someone to come in and immediately make an impact by embracing and ministering to the growing number of high school students and showing them how they can be a part of furthering God’s kingdom.

POSITION TITLE: Senior High Student Pastor
LOCATION: Houston, TX area suburb
DENOMINATION: Non-Denominational
SALARY RANGE: COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE
JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES:

• Oversee the entire 9th grade thru 12th grade Student Ministry
• Be a mentor to students and counsel students and parents
• Plan and communicate at Wednesday Night Service
• Visit high schools (lunches, sporting events, activities, FCA) etc., building relationships with students and faculty
• Plan activities/gatherings outside of church
• Plan and execute Summer camp
• Plan and oversee high school community groups
• Plan and oversee Summer activities and special events (trips to theme parks, ball games etc.)
• Plan and oversee outreach, local and foreign mission trips, etc.
• Recruit and train student leaders and adult volunteers
• Oversee and encourage students to attend and serve at weekend services

QUALIFICATIONS:

•At least 5 years’ experience in Student ministry
•Proven track record of growth and success in a LARGE Student ministry (200+ students; 2000+ attender church)
•Innovative, organized, passionate person who loves high school kids
•Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
•A self-starter, versed in problem-solving
•Motivated “team player” that exemplifies and inspires others to take action
•Hard working, yet must love having fun with the high school kids
•Bachelor’s Degree preferred
