Pastor of Student Ministries

Job Description:
First Covenant Church in Salina, Kansas is currently seeking a full-time individual who is passionate about reaching and discipling students (grades 7-12) for Jesus. He/she must have a deep personal faith in Christ and be daily devoted and growing in their relationship with Him.

First Covenant is a church of 900+ worshippers with a thriving student ministry. Between 60-100 attend classes on Sunday mornings, with Wednesday evening outreach programs drawing 100-150 consistently. A full-time middle school ministries director (currently on staff) and numerous adult volunteers are in place to assist our new pastor.

As a church family in all of our ministries, we are committed to going "Deeper in Christ" and "Further in Mission." We believe that God has provided us with a wonderful opportunity to have even more impact upon our community for His Kingdom. As evidence of that, and in response to recent growth, we will be expanding our facility with a 24,000+ square foot expansion dedicated primarily to outreach, especially to the student population in our area. Early 2013 is the targeted move-in date.

We are looking for the following qualities: Biblical and theological training and competency, a background in vocational student ministry, excellent teaching and communication skills, experience in equipping volunteer leaders, and a passion for both discipleship and outreach.
