Job Description:
Executive Pastor for Missional Engagement
Position Purpose
To give strategic direction to the leadership community of FAC that enables us to joyfully and passionately become the church that Jesus gave His life to build! This will involve encouraging, equipping and enabling our ministry team to fully embrace God’s call upon their lives as we work together towards the fulfillment of the mission and vision of the church.

Core Responsibilities

1. To direct our ministry team towards missional engagement and ministry effectiveness (60%)
Oversees the development and implementation of strategic ministry plans for each pastoral team member
Responsible for assessment of ministry plans for the staff and performance reviews of Pastoral Team Leaders
Shapes a team ministry culture of mutual respect, understanding and integration
Works with the Lead Pastor in developing Pastoral Staff and Strategic Lead Team equipping events and meeting agendas
Oversees personnel files and transitions

2. To give leadership to the development of Lay Ministry Engagement (20%)
To provide regular teaching relating to spiritual gift discovery and implementation
To develop plans and strategies to connect the congregation with meaningful, gift-based ministry involvement
To monitor the quality of the working relationships between church staff and lay volunteers in order to maximize all serving opportunities
To foster an organizational culture that values and esteems the role of the volunteer in the fulfillment of the mission of FAC
To encourage the nurture and training of volunteers by pastoral staff

3. To serve in and model personal involvement in a community impacting ministry that reflects personal experience and gifting (10%)
4. To fulfill pastoral duties as requested by the Lead Pastor (10%)
Perform the sacraments of the church
Teaching responsibilities as needed
Potential involvement in weddings, funerals
Provide Pastoral care

• Attends Monthly board meetings as a non-voting member
• Serves as the Direct Report for our Ministry Team Leads
• Works closely with the Director of Operations and Office Manager
• Chairs the Personnel Committee and its work
