Job Description:
Are you ready to make a difference for God’s Kingdom? Would you like to serve in a place where the biggest challenge is to keep up with what God is doing? Do you feel the Holy Spirit leading you to serve in the New York metro area? If so, you may be the person God is calling to join our team.

Five years ago, the people of Wantagh Baptist Church took an amazing step of faith. Full of vision and out of space, they sold their building and committed to a $7.5 million dollar debt to build a new 38,000 sq. ft. facility six miles away and relocate. While not uncommon in other places, this was the first time an evangelical church had done so on such a scale in Nassau County, New York.

On March 21, 2010, that vision became reality when Living Faith Christian Church opened. What has happened since would be amazing anywhere. But, in the New York metro area it has been miraculous.

Today, over 1,200 people worship at Living Faith (plus children) and almost 900 adults are involved in Small Groups. Every ministry has experienced similar growth including the giving of God’s people. Over the past three years, our budget has grown almost 80% with total receipts this church year expected to exceed $2.5 million.

Over the past two years, we have added administrative staff and Ministry Directors to help oversee specific needs. They have done an amazing job to help things move forward. Now, we need an Executive & Missions Pastor. Working under the direction of our Senior Pastor, the Executive Pastor will be part of our Senior Pastoral Staff and the Board of Elders at Living Faith.

Senior Pastors who feel called to serve in a new role here in New York must have successfully led a congregation of at least 500 in weekly attendance. Also, they would need to have strong administrative skills and financial experience with budgets over $1 million. Executive Pastors, Church Administrators and those serving in other staff roles will be considered providing they too have significant experience managing multiple staff, large numbers of volunteers, and large budgets. A Bachelor's Degree is required for consideration. A seminary Master's degree is preferred.

Along with administrative functions, this person will oversee all non-worship related aspects of the Sunday experience including Sunday Ministry Team volunteers. Finally, we hope this individual will be able to work with our Missions Committee to oversee a $250,000 annual missions budget.

Those interested in applying should know that we included "Christian Church" in our church name to express our basic faith in this community. LFCC is not part of the Disciples of Christ or any other denomination. Instead, Living Faith is a non-denominational church that has a Baptist faith and heritage.

If you feel God may be leading you to consider this opportunity in the New York area, and meet the basic requirements stated above, please submit a cover letter and resume to edkirkland@LivingFaithNY.org. It is our hope and prayer that the Lord will bring someone to join our staff by July 1, 2012 if possible.
