BCA is a growing church, currently hitting the 1800's on Sundays. We are a strong church with a great history. We are currently on the tail end of a 7 year remodel that has seen us remodel 97% of our facility including building a $3 Million Dollar Children's Center. Of our 1500 guests per year, the average age has been under the age of 40 the last few years. Our Lead Pastor has been here for over 25 years (he is 52 years old) and we see great days ahead. We are looking for a great staff member with the 3 C's: Character, Chemistry, and Competence.
The Media Director is a significant position at our church. They are responsible for such tasks as filming and editing videos, leading our media team (lighting, presentation, cameras, etc.) on Sunday mornings, serving on our creative team (and helping implement those ideas), and more. This position has a "seat at the table" and is very involved in various aspects of BCA.
Responsibilies would include:
The Visual Arts Director has responsibility for all BCA media development
Maintain knowledge of current film-video trends
Coordinate the work of volunteers that may assist with media development
Assist in planning, promoting and executing all video applications for BCA
Work with and assist the Web-Media, Graphics and Communication Departments
The Media director is responsible for all tech related items for all venues. This requires setup of the media for venues and aiding in training of volunteers to run the Media equipment.
Sunday Gathering Responsibilities
Visual Arts Director’s primary responsibility is to help create the visual feel for each sermon.
Visual Arts Director will spend significant time with the speakers to help create the visual feel for the Sunday morning experience. This encompasses all aspects of the Sunday services, but will focus primarily on the message-teaching segment. Work may require video, props, and recruiting needed volunteers for each aspect of the message-teaching segment
Work with the Media Team to provide oversight for all venue media and insure that all systems are operating smoothly, cameras and filming are scheduled and staffed for all services, power point presentations are ready and video shoots of all significant events are scheduled and completed
Sunday and Wednesday Gathering Responsibilities
Check classrooms schedules for media requirements and verify that equipment needs are provided
Be available as a troubleshooter for media malfunctions on Sundays and Wednesdays
Develop a schedule for the power point/video presentations, run the power point slides/video and/or train volunteers to provide this service
Develop and produce video announcements, videos for Sunday teaching series and bumper videos. This will also entail keeping track of what events need to be promoted.
Film BCA events as assigned like baptism, membership classes, and all special events for future promotional uses.
Ensure that all videos/content are posted to the BCA website and remain current week to week.
Develop a schedule to track videos shown and catalogue for future referral
Plan and develop special promotional videos, as assigned, for special events as VBS, CAB and others
Oversee all media for big events such as Experience Missions, CAB, and EAB.
Develop a process for and create new videos as required to keep the website current and exciting
Work towards building a Media Internship where students and adults can be trained in the area of media ministry.
Build, train, and oversee a team of volunteers to film events, film the Sunday gathering, run Sunday media, etc.
