Job Description:
Position Summary
Provide organization and management of the operational functions for each of the following ministries: Missions, Media, Blue Valley Site, Crossroads, and AXIS. In addition, this position will have church-wide responsibility for a secondary specialization in one of the following areas:
• Marketing/Communication (Connect, website, banners, signage, etc)
• Events/Hospitality (such as: Seder dinner, Volunteer Appreciation, Advent, Lent, Missions Lunch, etc)
• Registrations (missions trips, VBS, youth events, CHIC, etc)

Essential Functions
• Maintain effective communication with church staff, congregants, Missions Board, Church Council and community partners through a variety of means including but not limited to Connections, Planning Center, Missions Wall, emails, telephone contact
• Coordinate with Team Lead Pastor/Missions Pastor and Missions Board to develop annual mission trip schedule
o Work with team leaders to research and develop trip logistics (travel, trip insurance, etc.)
o Assist with trip communications
o Distribute information to team members
o Accounting of funds coming in and tracking of necessary paperwork.
o Assist with passport and visa needs.
o Research medical requirements for area of travel
• Coordinate the meetings and activities of the Missions Board
• Organize and manage the operations of the Missionary Care Team
• Establish a ministry volunteer management system to include job description creation, recruitment. training and supervision of volunteers to assist with the administrative duties of the ministries, as well as the implementation of the ministries’ events, programs and worship
• Coordinate the logistics of each ministries events and programs
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
• Manage prayer requests for appropriate follow up and action by the prayer team
• Implementation of assignments delegated by the Team Lead Pastor
• Have a heart for the Lord, a sensitive spirit and be a person who practices the principles of the Christian faith
• Be committed to the mission and values of Hillcrest Covenant Church and Hillcrest Covenant Church Blue Valley
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience in similar role
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task, using good time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with coordinating international travel and applying for passports and visas
• Must have the willingness to seek new information, training, and resources as needed
• Proven track record in effective interaction with staff and Church Council
• Maintain confidentiality
• Familiarity with Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, GIMP, and WordPress.
