We prayerfully seek the leader God has in mind to serve as Faith Covenant’s Director of Worship & Welcome. This new position is full-time (40 hr. + benefits) and calls for a dynamic, collaborative, and welcoming worship leader. Faith Covenant Church is a growing church of 600+ in the heart of Burnsville, an urbanized suburb 20 minutes south of downtown Minneapolis. The city is seeing young professionals and immigrants call Burnsville home. Additionally a large aging population and a steady middle-class family demographic mark this area. Under new leadership, and in FCC’s 50th year, we are experiencing renewal. Loving God first, making disciples, growing in community, and renewing our city are the heartbeats of this family of faith. To this church and city we call the next Worship & Welcome Director. He/she will provide leadership, execution, and team building to the church's expressions of musical worship. Alongside this main role is the responsibility of developing our hospitality or welcome culture.
The Worship & Welcome Director will:
a) Provide quality worship during our weekend services. Currently we meet Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:30 but will add a third service in time. b) Shape the design of all worship experiences around the messages, congregation and city using music, media, art, drama, readings, video testimonies, response etc. (Experiences like: Sunday services, communion, baptisms, dedications, prayer gatherings, Holiday Services, love the city services etc.) c) Develop and deploy the church's growing culture of welcoming the outsider and insider. This starts in our worship services and includes helping staff strategically build pathways towards newcomer’s involvement and belonging.
At Faith all pastoral and director-level leaders work collaboratively under the leadership of two co-lead pastors in a shared team ministry model. This position requires a worship leader who is collaborative but able to work independently, creative, welcoming, and can influence others. If this may describe you, please prayerfully apply.
