Loyola Marymount University’s Campus Ministry department has a full-time regular nine (9) month position for a Campus Minister – Ecumenical and Interfaith. The Campus Minister will provide ministry and programming to LMU students, coordinate the LMU Interfaith Council meetings with all non-Catholic religious student organizations and ministers, and regularly attend and assist with the meetings, bible studies and gatherings of on-campus Christian (other than Catholic) groups. Additionally, the Campus Minister will serve as moderator for designated religious groups on campus, partner with colleagues to support with Christian Life Community, advertise and recruit Christian and other than Christian students to appropriate campus ministry programs. As a member of the Campus Ministry team, the Campus Minister will also work in a spirit of collaboration with members of all denominations and faith tradition and support and uphold the mission and values of the LMU Catholic tradition and Jesuit and Marymount heritage.

We seek candidates with two (2) to three (3) years pastoral experience working with young adults. We prefer candidates with a M.A. Degree or M.Div. Degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies or related field. We seek candidates that have experience in working with a team in a collaborative environment. Knowledge and experience in working with multiple faith traditions; knowledge of the principles of spiritual formation, pastoral counseling, and leadership development is a must.
