We are seeking an energetic, dedicated, highly motivated leader to join our team.
This pastoral position is responsible for program development, teaching, scheduling and over-seeing workers. Children's ministry age range is birth through 5th grade.
Title: Children's Pastor
Classification: Full Time- Exempt
-Required- Bachelor's degree
-Required- At least 2 years experienc in paid children's ministry position
-Preferred- At least 2 years experience in full time children's ministry role with significant responsibility in leading volunteers, visioneering, and developing programming that empowers children to own and grow in their faith.
-Preferred- Spouse that is also passionate about partnering in ministry
-A passion for children's ministry and to see children grow in their faith.
-Effectiveness in recruiting, motivating, equipping and scheduling volunteer leaders to minister to children & families.
-Ability to design and develop ministry programs.
-Effective communication skills (platform, personal, and written)
-Demonstrated ability to understand and relate to children and their families.
-Commitment to reach out to new families and get them connected into this church community
-Competent with basic computer software (Excel, Word, Publisher) and the capacity to learn new software.
Leading and managing
-Drives, owns, and communicates overall vision and mission of Children's Ministry
-Manages overall organization, design, and oversight of Children's Ministry programs.
-Oversees management of childcare needs for all programs.
-Recruits, trains, leads, schedules, and provides direction to volunteers in all children's programs.
-Provide pastoral guidance and encourage spiritual growth in not only children but all volunteers as well.
- Creates, evaluates, and monitors all curriculum and activities for all ages (birth through 5th grade)
-Responsible for check-in procedures & tracking weekly attendance
-Participates in department meetings to discuss ministry strategy and effectiveness
-Coordinates yearly program calendar
-Ensures that facilities are appropriate. This includes safety, functionality for programming, appeal to kids, appeal to parents, adequate amounts of space, etc.
-Creates and oversees policies and procedures to provide a safe, quality environment for children.
-Communicates vision and purpose of children's ministry
-Development and oversight weekend teaching team for elementary age to supplement their role as the primary communicator
-Responsible for all communications of children's programs, events, and responsibilities to parents, children, and volunteers
-Responsible for teaming with other Living Waters Church ministry departments to provide church-wide events targeting children, youth, and their families. Examples may include Halloween Trunk-or-Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, and Christmas weekend services.
