Description
Responsible for all shipping and receiving processes for the University Bookstore. Work closely with the Course Material Buyers concerning receiving, stocking, pricing and returns of all course materials. Hire, train, schedule and supervise student staff for the shipping/receiving department of the University Bookstore. Train and supervise University Bookstore Shipping/Receiving Clerk.

Examples of Duties
* Receive, price and distribute all textbooks and course materials using WINPrism/ICS software program.
* Maintain textbook area in the store, stockroom and warehouse.
* Process, package, and ship all telephone and web orders each day.
* Process, package and arrange textbook reservations for pick up in-store.
* Hire, train, schedule and supervise student staff for the shipping/receiving department for the University Bookstore.
* Train and supervise shipping/receiving clerk.
* Make deliveries to numerous offices on campus as needed.
* Perform daily buyback duties.
* Perform cashiering duties and customer returns as necessary for the Express Window.
* Work closely with the Course Material Buyers in the setup and maintenance of the textbook department shelves and back-stock area.
* Work closely with course Material Buyers in processing necessary product return to vendors.
* Other duties as assigned by Bookstore Manager.

Education
High school graduate, college preferred.

Experience
Two years of shipping/receiving experience preferred. One year supervisory experience preferred. Experience with UPS, FedEx, or California Overnight shipping software helpful. Experience with the operation and use of a pallet jack and forklift.

Skills
Keyboard 40-50 wpm. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in oral and written form with faculty, staff and students. Ability to balance a variety of tasks and demands under pressure. Ability to operate pallet jack and forklift. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Work and Excel, Google Apps and Gmail.

Mental Demands
Good organizational skills. Detail oriented. Self-starter, able to work with little supervision. Ability to accurately follow oral and/or written instructions. Ability to learn procedures and retain information. Ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to keep confidentiality with discretion and good judgment. Ability to take direction and establish trust with others. In agreement with the purpose and goals of Azusa Pacific University in providing a Christian-based higher education for its students.

Physical Demands
Repetitive keyboard work. Standing for long periods. Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis. Ability to lift, pull, grasp, climb ladder, bend to lower text shelves and reach top text shelves. Telephone usage-hearing and speaking. Ability to conduct business at other offices on campus.

Visual Demands
Computer monitor and reading.

Environment
Pleasant office setting, comfortable temperature. Warehouse setting, hot and cold dependent on outside temperature.

Details
Full-time position. Salary to be determined based on qualifications and experience.
